Dear colleagues,

It is my pleasure to invite you to the annual congress of HPBASA. This will be the first meeting of the Association since our evolution to a regional society that includes our neighbouring colleagues. Although current challenges demand a hybrid model of conferencing, I am confident that you will be able make use of this first opportunity, since the start of the pandemic, to network with your colleagues and the trade again in person, while in the beautiful setting of Franschhoek. An additional benefit for on site delegates only will be the Boston Scientific Endoscopic session on Friday afternoon, 5 November 2021.

Balancing the budget for an in-person and virtual congress is challenging and we welcome support in the form of registrations to aid the Society in its future educational and supporting endeavours, both in South Africa and across our borders
